Please see new CAFE-Depression-MUSICAL_FACTORIES version

New 2010-2015 overall line-up proposal provides Zero overlap between Mercury & Lincoln. (previous version)
ver.3+ Based on a new Rwd emphasis for Lincoln (and specialty Fords); the new highly flexible, global E3C platform
replaces the Panther, D2C(Mustang), Rwd Australian platform, and in a superlight configuration, the S-Type
and XJ(all aluminium version) chassis.
The same wheelbases are used for most N.A. F-Awd and Rwd vehicles - is parts-sharing/cost-saving possible?
MERCURY, pursuing its alternative rôle, specializes in Awd, turbos, & hybrids.

1) note re: import/export
Stallion (AU) and Fairlane (US) production would intentionally fluctuate with monetary exchange rates,
to take advantage of the increased profitability. Their equal value (US$40-55k) would facilitate this.
Although that price almost fits the Mercury lineup, neither car suits Mercury's direction or style theme,
and would lead to re-badge/overlap.
